About
Leanne Hurley – Writer.
Leanne’s passion is non-fiction writing, mostly opinion pieces about football, gay and lesbian issues but she’s also been known to produce the odd piece of erotica and generally can be found to have an opinion on just about anything. There doesn’t seem to be a subject on which she finds herself unable to produce a piece about when requested.
Leanne writes the acclaimed LadyArse blog focusing on Arsenal football club which has resulted in her being asked to provide pieces for Arsenal.com and ‘So Paddy Got Up‘ – an Arsenal Anthology published by Arseblog. She also runs The Gay Girls Guide as well as a few other sites, the main pieces of which are also published here. She is currently completing The Gay Girls Guide To Being Gay – a handbook for gay girls.
Leanne has also written some short pieces for Arsenal.com, the official Arsenal website.
Leanne has written for some of the most well known hard copy magazines and websites including Diva, Gay.com, The Rainbow Network and others. She has over 300 articles published professionally.
Recently, Leanne has begun providing web content covering a variety of subjects and has completed over 500 articles.
Leanne Hurley – Artist.
Leanne Hurley’s electric digital art fuses striking imagery with intense colours to produce an art unlike anything else around today. Her ‘digital art for a digital age’ has created huge waves throughout Northern Ireland, and, utilising the internet, has sold in Europe, Australia, Asia, and the Americas.
Born in Berlin in 1975, Leanne Hurley has spent most of her life in Northern Ireland. Starting out as a journalist before becoming a freelance writer, she has more than 15 years experience in this field and over 300 published articles to date across various media including local, national and international magazines, newspapers and, of course, online.
Renowned Irish artist, Terry Bradley, has referred to Leanne as ‘Ireland’s best up-and-coming artist’ and counts himself amongst her many admirers.
The main focus of her art is the female form (while her writing covers an eclectic range of subjects), producing images which present both the sensuality and power of the female species.
Leanne firmly believes that as technology is continually moving on we would be foolish not to harness it and utilise it in an artistic way.
Her first show took place on December 5th 2004 and Leanne has undertaken numerous shows since then, all of which received widepsread tv and press coverage.

“With titles such as Lust, Deliverance, Grunge, and Lost Soul, the pieces are both visually stunning and conversation pieces, which is surely the real purpose of art” Daily Ireland
